Vergina

Almost an hour NW route will lead you to ancient Vergina or the waterfalls of Edessa. This area was the old capital of the ancient Macedonian empire, the Eges. Here are the Palaces, the ancient theater and the Royal Tombs. Tomb of king Philip (father of Alexander the great) with unique value of findings (golden urn, urn, wreaths, shield, etc.), which are elements of global radiation. The venue of the Royal Tombs with canopies is particularly impressive for the visitor.

Litochoro-Olympus

Just 7 kilometers away at the foot of mountain Olympus is the historic Litochoro, from where you can climb to many beautiful mountain paths, including the one that goes to the top of the mountain(2918meters) or even visit the old monastery of St. Dionisos where they produce ecological agricultural products.

Meteora

Meteora  is one of the largest and most important complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries in Greece, second only to Mount Athos.The six monasteries are built on natural sandstone rock pillars, at the northwestern edge of the Plain of Thessaly near the Pineios river and Pindus Mountains, in central Greece. The Metéora is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Platamonas

Approximately 7 km south will have the opportunity to walk on the cobblestones of the Venetian Castle of Platamonas reconstructing the past and admiring the unique view of the mountains and sea.

Dion

Visit the Ancient Dion with the mosaics and the ancient museum. In outdoor theater often carried large theatrical performances in the light of the moon and the summer festival.
